Author: Vega Rivero, Irene
Tutor: Bresó Esteve, Edgar
Abstract: Psychological well-being has been compromised in recent years among health professionals, especially in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, mainly due to the characteristics of their work and the demands of the context. Hence the importance of studying the possible factors that influence its development, in order to prevent negative consequences and improve work performance. The present work, therefore, aims to create an intervention to improve the psychological well-being and, consequently, the individual work performance of the health professionals of the Covid-19 Teams of the Canary Health Service of Gran Canaria. For this purpose, burnout, engagment and work performance of these professionals were measured. The results show that these health professionals have a high level of burnout and average-low level of engagement and work performance, which justifies the implementation of an intervention to improve their quality of work and personal life. This type of intervention can serve as a starting point to improve the psychological well-being of many professionals (not only health professionals) who work daily in contact with other people.
