Title: La gestión del talento basada en un modelo de Gestión por Competencias y su impacto en los índices de atracción y de fidelización de personas

Abstract: Talent management practices are essential for business success, especially if we are talking about companies in the consulting sector, where the value provided to customers is based on knowledge and, therefore, human capital plays a determining role in time to establish competitive advantage. Therefore, the company's ability to attract talent that fits business needs and retain it, is essential. This is a business intervention project that consists of the design and implementation of a competency-based management model and the definition and implementation of its operation in each of the phases of the talent cycle of the SAP Consulting Business Unit of a multinational technology consulting company. Through this intervention, we have been able to verify that the improvement of the company's talent cycle through this competency-based management model clarifies the employee¿s expectations regarding their professional development, has a positive impact on their motivation and manages to improve their loyalty and, therefore, reduce turnover, in addition to reinforce employer branding and, therefore, the ability of this Business Unit to attract more and better talent. The conclusions of the study have the limitations that correspond to the brief time elapsed between the implementation of the model and the field work for the measurement of the results, being therefore based on perceptions of the executive team of the SAP Consulting Business Unit.
