Abstract

Aquesta assignatura es basa en l'estudi de les principals manifestacions de les arts visuals i l'arquitectura des del Renaixement fins al segle XIX. Es tracta d'assolir una visió panoràmica, amb algunes referències a l'art del nostre entorn més proper, particularment l'art modernista. L'estudi de la Història de l'Art no s'entén com una fi en ell mateix sinó que es vol inserir dins d'una visió àmplia i integradora de les humanitats. Així, doncs, es farà èmfasi en la interconnexió amb altres àrees de coneixement i no es reduirà a l'estudi dels estils i les seves característiques sinó que s'aprofundirà en el coneixement del marc cultural i humanístic on s'inscriu la creació artística del món modern i l'inici del món contemporani.

Esta asignatura se basa en el estudio de las principales manifestaciones de las artes visuales y la arquitectura desde el Renacimiento hasta el siglo XIX. Se trata de tener una visión panorámica, con algunas referencias al arte de nuestro entorno más cercano, particularmente el arte modernista. Se hará énfasis en la interconexión con otras áreas del conocimiento y no se reducirá al estudio de los estilos y sus características si no que se profundizará en el conocimiento del marco cultural y humanístico dónde se inscribe la creación artística del mundo moderno y el inicio del mundo contemporáneo.

The study of the main expressions of the visual arts and the architecture from the Renaissance until the 19th-century is the main axis of this subject. It pretends to contribute a panoramic vision, with some references to the art of our nearer environment, particularly the modernist art. The study of the Art History is not understood just with this aim, but we try to show it in a wide and integrating point of view. It will be stressed the interconnection with other areas of knowledge and it will not be reduced to the study of the styles and their characteristics otherwise the subject's approach is the study in depth of the knowledge of both, the cultural and the humanistic framework, within the artistic creation in the modern world and the beginning of the contemporary world.
