| Abstract: | Virtual communities (or e-communities) have become an optimal platform for cooperative work and collaborative research. The present work describes the development of Spanish academic and scientific RedIris e-communities by looking at their offer of information tools and services. Results show a great dependence on mailing lists and, in general, an underuse of e-communities and their services. |
