Abstract: The emergence and growing and increasingly widespread use of information technologies has made possible the appearance of a new scenario that has caused and even precipitated, a series of wide-ranging changes at all levels, but especially at social, financial and cultural levels. This new stage has had great influence in the pedagogical environment; the emergence of new educational models, brought about by this important change, has been occurring in a continuous and uninterrupted way for barely a decade. These new educational models have made it possible for sectors of the population that were not able to gain access to certain types of studies, due to various circumstances, to benefit from a new environment. This new environment not only facilitated access to all types of learning, but progressively created spaces and increasingly easy-to-use tools so that this new opportunity would not appear as a technological barrier once again barring access.
