Application of augmented reality to the recognition of historical figures portraits

Abstract

The following work is centred on analysing the diverse face recognition techniques, in order to use them in an augmented reality application for recognizing historical figures in paintings. One of the main objectives of this project will be finding the most suitable recognition techniques for this purpose.

El siguiente trabajo se centra en el análisis de las diversas técnicas de reconocimiento facial, con el fin de utilizarlas en una aplicación de realidad aumentada para el reconocimiento de figuras históricas en las pinturas. Uno de los principales objetivos de este proyecto será encontrar las técnicas de reconocimiento más adecuadas para este fin.

El següent treball es centra en l'anàlisi de les diverses tècniques de reconeixement facial, per tal d'utilitzar-les en una aplicació de realitat augmentada per al reconeixement de figures històriques en les pintures. Un dels principals objectius d'aquest projecte serà trobar les tècniques de reconeixement més adequades per a aquest fi.
