| Abstract: | This work presents a brief introduction to the semantic web and its current state. It contains an analysis of languages found at the base of the extensive recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (XML, XML Schema, RDF and RDF Schema) and examines different database management systems that provide support to metadata, which are the basis of semantic webs. |
