| Abstract: | The scientific impact of Catalan research is similar to that of Canada, Singapore and Finland. These are the findings of the Bibliometric Indicators for Scientific Activity in Catalonia (Scopus, 2003-2008), which places Catalonia as the leading Autonomous Community in Spain in terms of international scientific impact. Mathematics, Chemistry, Immunology, Environmental Sciences, Physics, Computer Science, Material Sciences, Medicine and Agriculture are the fields of research in Catalonia with an impact above world average. Engineering has registered a fall in scientific production compared with world activity. |
