Abstract: IoT networks are actually in evolution. This work will provide a small step, implementing RPL routing protocol (RFC6550) on Storing mode, on the OPENWSN system with simulated hardware. Currently only Non-Storing mode is implemented on the OPENWSN platform, which uses Source-Routing for routing. With the new protocol working mode we want to set a new routing system where all the components of an IoT network will have a Routing Table with which they'll can actively participate in the routing proces. With a testbench, specifically designed to measure the performance of a routing protocol, values such as latency, bandwidth, energy consumption, and others used by the protocol are mesured. With these data will generate a document using comparative tables ans graphs of the two DEMOS having an analysis of the results. Finally conclusions are set to conclude with the differences in behavior between the two working modes RPL protocol.
