Abstract: The phenomenon of gamification has become recently a methodological trend with a relevant presence in the classroom. In this article, the state of art of gamification in educational contexts, using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), is reviewed and a number of experiences are described as well, selected according to their innovative traits. Also some cases are analysed which harness gamification as a means to teach logic gates and digital circuits.
