Abstract: Nowadays railway modelling has become one of the most exciting hobbies. Nevertheless, miniature trains and the possibility of re-creating a railway infrastructure at scale give us the opportunity to use a model railway for more than just play. Considering the improvement of a hypothetical railway infrastructure in matters such as the regulation of train traffic, rail signalling system and safety, this project aims to design and implement a field simulator capable of emulating the behaviour of a real railway infrastructure.
