Abstract: It is considered that currently the local commerce market share is threatened by department stores, malls and franchises. In this context a business opportunity appears which consists in offering to local commerce a new information system to be able them to offer their products by a new sales channel, keeping their personal care to the customers, and a new way to build customer loyalty. Additionally, this information system will provide to local commerce of management tools to be more efficient, improving their productivity and the quality of the customer service. In order to check if the business opportunity exists for this information system, a business plan is going to be created, analyzing current characteristics of the market and the consumption habits of the potential customers. Once the business opportunity is confirmed, the strategic plan will be define, the characteristics of the information system will be detailed and how the information system should be distributed and promoted will be described. Furthermore, the business plan will include a financial and economic analysis.
