Abstract: The structured cabling is an essential part when it takes to develop the network design, so it is essential to use the copper cable (UTP) and fiber optics suitable for this type of installation, as well as to choose correctly other devices that will complete the installation (patch panel, media converters, etc.) This design needs to be controlled such as different maintenance companies will make use of it, which could cause errors or defects if the system is not well designed or implemented. To avoid this possible situation, an intelligent structured cabling system is proposed, which will control the state of the installation at all times.
