Abstract: This work is a professional report that offers a proposal for the prevention of criminal behavior in a geographical area of the San Francisco neighborhood of the city of Bilbao. The proposal is based on the Environmental Criminalism approach. Specifically, it is based on the theoretical framework of three theories that defend the postulates of situational prevention: the theory of rational choice, the theory of routine activities and the theory of criminal patterns. It proposes to implement a police model of proximity in order to prevent delinquency in the selected territory, to enhance the image of the police and the Local Administration, and to reduce the fear of crime and the feeling of insecurity of the community.
