Abstract: The survival analysis is one of the statistical tools that allows us to examine and model the time for the occurrence of an event. In this thesis, methods have been studied to approach survival analysis focused on data from the biomedical field. The database on which we work contains a study about patients with renal cell cancer, a type of disease that currently represents 2% to 3% of all types of cancer and whose maximum influence is in the Western countries. The survival function was first evaluated for the two situations of events (death and relapse) associated with time variables.
