Abstract: This paper focus on the influence and the significance of the early 20th century's Asakusa's neighborhood (Tokyo) had in the construction of the literary modernity of several authors like Kawabata Yasunari, Tanizaki Junichiro, Edogawa Ranpo o Hori Tatsuo, through an exhaustive analysis of some of their literary works.
