Abstract: This paper represents the definition of my Final Degree Project with an application intended for the registration of entries and exits of the public administration. I have used free and open platforms for the development of the project with J2EE technology. The objective is to use and test latest-generation technologies such as Enterprise JavaBeans Preview_2 (EJB) 3.0 (11/5/2004) for business logic, Hibernate 3.0 alpha (beta 1.0 published on 12/20/2004 is currently available) as an object persistence framework, and the JBOSS 4.0.RC1 applications server (currently the RC2 of 12/23/2004). All of these technologies only work with JDK 5.0 to use the new labels and avoid the XML describers. I have also used framework struts 1.1 to implement the MVC (model-view-controller) architecture master.
