The aim of this Project is to carry out an exhaustive study and evaluation of the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol applied to mesh networks. We will focus on this protocol due to the continuing growth of the IoT networks and their popularity in recent years, as well as the continuous improvements of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) combined with low cost chips that have made BLE a leading technology in Internet of things (IoT). BLE is currently available in billions of smartphones, which means that BLE promotes markets such as health and fitness sensors that require low power and a low transmission rate.
