Abstract: This document is the result of the final degree project for the Degree in Telecommunications Technology, specializing in Telematics by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, specifically for the area of Services based on location and intelligent spaces. The completion of this final year project will allow to know the operation of QGIS 3.0. (Free-form Geographical Information System) and a specially created plugin to automate the verification of vector geometries from open OpenStreetMap data (OSM) and another topographic database, such as the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC). The plugin has been created in Python language applied to Geographic Information Systems (PYQGIS). The execution of the plugin will allow a user to import PoI (Point of Interest) with semantic information (schools, hospitals, stores, etc.) from the Topographic Base of OSM to other topographical bases, as long as said points match with polygons (buildings). The result is stored in a new layer or database whose information is susceptible in turn to be exported to any other topographic database compatible with that format.
