Abstract: The purpose of the TFM is to determine if it is feasible to use GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers in which the signal processing will take place using the cloud, that is, the GNSS receiver acts as a signal reception element and navigation messages from both GPS and Galileo satellites and the signals are sent to the cloud for processing. It has been decided to divide the TFM into two phases, so that the first phase serves as the basis on which the second phase is based. In a first phase, we proceed to the study of the benefits that a GNSS receiver must provide to acquire the signals and messages of the GPS constellation in the L1 and L5 bands, as well as the signals and messages of the Galileo constellation in the E1, E5 bands and E6. This phase also includes the development of a graphical user interface (GUI) that allows modeling the scenario and reception parameters of the GNSS signal and allows obtaining information on the performance of the GNSS receiver through MATLAB. In a second phase, the feasibility of using GNSS sensors in IoT (Internet of Things) applications is studied, determining the limiting effects of this solution (consumption, capacities, etc.) as well as the viability of outsourcing the position calculation (remember that the signals and messages received from the satellites are sent to the cloud and therefore, the processing of the signals can be done by third parties)
