Abstract: The project is the making, the writing, the design, the layout of a graphically illustrated book that integrates 3D animations, sounds, interactions between the elements and visual effects. The interaction of the Augmented Reality is activated through an electronic device (mobile or tablet) and the AR is shown through the device. The product is targeted for children aged between 8 and 14 years. The story of the book is about a girl who is involved in the search for a magic fir to save her father from an evil entity that has controlled him as well as all the villagers of her little town. The story is chronologically inspired by the era of the Grimm brothers and set in the worlds of Studio Ghibli and Osamu Tezuka, great producers and characters in the history of Japanese animation. The book includes digitally drawn illustrations which are the markers or targets that are used to activate the Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality allows an integration between fictitious elements superposed in the real world. It allows the user to investigate the scenarios and interact with the elements through virtual buttons that are included.
