Abstract: The final project of the degree is based on the creation of a short animation clip. This project is based on the adaptation for 3D animation of an African children's story/legend entitled "The skin of the crocodile", which deals with narcissism and its consequences. The primary objective of this project is to capture the viewer's attention with the characters, scenes, music and emotions, using 3D content creation techniques and digital animation of characters. Although it is a children's theme story, the target audience is really wide and will be suitable for all ages. This project wants to show the entire creation process necessary to explain this story through a short animated 3D, from the main idea, the storyboard, the creation of characters and scenarios (modeling), giving movement and life to the protagonists (rigging and animation), as well as the final steps of animation of cameras, lighting and rendering of scenes (production), and, of course, the post-production of the final master. At the same time, as an essential purpose of the project, it will be important to apply all the knowledge related to the animation acquired during the Multimedia Degree, as well as the acquisition of new knowledge and techniques to be used during the process.
