Abstract: The swinger world has an attraction towards a good number of couples today, being able to have sex with more people than the couple itself is something that could come within the framework of fantasy, but some take it to reality. The aim of this study is to explore communication patterns, conflict resolution styles and satisfaction in a swinger couple. A case study is carried out to analyze especially how a couple perceives their satisfaction, communication and the most important conflicts that have arisen and how they have resolved to be able to have a vision of those aspects that are most important in maintaining a couple. The Diadic Adjustment Scale (EAD) is used to evaluate the satisfaction of the couple and the Communication Patterns Questionnaire (CPQ) to know the conflict resolution style. A thematic analysis of the semi-structured interview is also carried out to explore its story as a couple. It is observed that the couple has a collaborative communication and is satisfied with their relation, being the most important conflict that has crossed the appearance of feelings for third parties, risked in these relations, but that at the same time have been able to overcome thanks to the tools that have contributed to being swingers in the relationship. The clinical implications derived from the results obtained in this study are discussed.
