Abstract: Twitter has been integrated as an essential channel in the communication of political actors. The objective of this TFM is to analyze the use that the candidate Donald Trump made of Twitter in the last month of his electoral campaign to the presidency of the United States (October 8th to November 8th, 2016). The sample includes 526 tweets posted in the @realDonaldTrump account. A quantitative analysis is carried out to determine the impact achieved by Donald Trump in comparison with the democrat candidate Hillary Clinton. A qualitative analysis will be used to identify if Donald Trump did political communication on Twitter, know the topics of his agenda on Twitter and do a closer examination of the language used. The results show: First, Donald Trump performed political communication on Twitter. Second, he made a fundamentally negative campaign, focused on attacks. Third, Donald Trump got more impact than his opponent Hillary Clinton. Finally, the subject analysis shows that the messages did not provide veracity.
