Title: La culpa en l'adopció: Un estudi de cas
Author: Pairó Julià, Aida
Tutor: Gómez Vales, Beronika
Abstract: Blame is an emotion that is born in the babies through the bond with maternal figure, but, in lack of healthy integration, it can cause difficulties in the elaboration of mourning and accordingly, in the construction of identity. In relation to the adoption processes, there is the possibility that, due to the traumatic situation experienced, blame may appear in different forms and stages of life. Therefore, the aim of this project is to analyse the articulation of blame in adoption. The used methodology is based on the case study of Saroo Brierley, an international adoption case described by the same protagonist in Un largo camino a casa (Península, 2017). This analysis has made it possible to find out that in adoption often the appearance of blame is repeated, due to the multiple losses experienced, as also reinforced by the relational proposal of the family.
