Abstract: Urolithiasis is pathology with a high incidence, prevalence, recurrence and is not a single disorder. Currently, this alteration is related to different pathologies: primary hyperparathyroidism, tubular acidosis, osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, digestive diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, all of them systemic pathologies, a control of them could reduce the number of lithiascent recurrence. Urinary lithiasis is influenced by genetic, environmental and hygienic-dietary factors. Transgressions and alterations in the diet are a risk factor for the onset of urolithiasis. The most frequent metabolic alterations are hypercalciuria, hypocitraturia, hyperoxyaluria and hyperuricosuria. This work attempts to present clear, orderly and up-to-date information regarding the relationship between diet, urolithiasis, and dietary recommendations.
