Author: Ortiz Parera, Andrea
Tutor: Solanas García, Isabel
Abstract: The Internet has changed many aspects of our lives, how we interact and how we work. In the case of journalism, the Internet has reached a critical moment of crisis of credibility. This irruption has meant a change in the work dynamics of journalists, and many of them are still adapting to the new medium. Investigative journalism that so much prestiged the exercise of journalism is again in the center of attention thanks to a new actor born from the Internet: WikiLeaks. In this research, we will compare two emblematic cases of investigative journalism, the Watergate, which took place before the Internet, and the Cablegate , which was possible thanks to it. Comparing the two cases we will see the changes in the way journalists work as a result of the arrival of the Internet.
