| Abstract: | In this paper we present some results from wider research, undertaken using an ethnographic approach, about the role of the web as a (socio-cultural) relational context in which to share and overcome the experience of mourning. From a narrative perspective, we describe the peculiar reality in on-line communities regarding loss and mourning and, above all, we focus on the social dynamics, the motivations - that push people to enter these specific e-places - and the functions of the web in terms mourning. |
