| Abstract: | The security mechanisms are one of the fundamental requirements for the proper functioning of the protocols of mobile ad hoc networks. This article discusses the security issues of basic routing protocols, describes the existing security solutions, and makes a study of the computational cost and energy involved for the system to include security mechanisms. |
