| Abstract: | This course on video systems and image processing is divided into two parts. The first section discusses the digital video systems from a technological point of view taking into account the processes involved in the acquisition, enhancement and image processing. Thus we consider the process of converting analogue video signals to digital footage, explores the major digital formats, the principles of signal recording on magnetic media, commercial digital video systems and communication standards between digital subsystems. The second section covers the basic principles underlying digital video post-production and composition of audiovisual content for the web. It delves into the use of Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects. |
