Abstract: Internal meniscus injuries are one of the most common knee disorders, these are usually treated by means of an internal partial meniscectomy, which implies a loss of strength, functionality, joint balance and increased pain in the knee. To evaluate all these aspects, there are different tests, such as KOOS and Lysholm functional assessment tests for functionality, goniometrics for joint balance, VAS scale for pain and isocinesia for muscle strength. A study was conducted with patients undergoing partial internal meniscectomy of the knee in which 6 assessments were made during the recovery process, from before the operation to 6 weeks of physiotherapy treatment. These assessments have obtained functionality, joint balance, pain and strength data, which were subsequently analyzed by Spearman correlations to see if there was a relationship between them. The results showed low and very low relationships, especially during the recovery process, and these have been medium in some of the variables before surgical intervention and after the treatment has finished. In all cases, the joint balance had a low relationship. This indicates that the functionality has an medium relation with the rest of variables except the joint balance in the patient with pre-surgical meniscus injury and once recovered, but during the treatment of physiotherapy this relation is very low.
