Abstract: This master's degree project is framed within the field of linguistics and, more specifically, in the sub-area of specialized lexicography. It is a terminological project that focuses on the elaboration of a monolingual glossary in Catalan with equivalences into Spanish of the specialized terms in public procurement that appear in the administrative clauses of the Diputació de Barcelona and its dependent agencies. The objective of this project is descriptive and aims at developing a practical tool directed, mainly, to a non-specialized public that does not have the deep knowledge of the contractual legislation or its specific vocabulary. In the process of elaboration of the terminological glossary, the model of the methodological work of TERMCAT (1990) has been followed, paying special attention to the elaboration of the field tree and the selection of terms in the corpus with the tool Terminus 2.0, in accordance with the specific objectives set out in this project. Part of the work is also devoted to the analysis of the results obtained and to the detection of possible issues while selecting the terms in the corpus. The result, i.e. the glossary that is presented, brings public procurement closer to all citizens and makes access to information easier, enhancing transparency in tendering and facilitating the detection of business opportunities that are published on the websites of Public Entities and official journals. Finally, the Spanish equivalences of the specialized vocabulary should facilitate legal and/ or physical Spanish-speaking persons the possibility of participating in tender procedures in Catalonia.
