Abstract: The Andalusian Tourism Register (RTA) is a single register with decentralized management in the different provinces of Andalusia. It is mandatory for tourist establishments to provide services in Andalusia therefore non-registration is subject to administrative sanction. The basic purpose of RTA is to serve as an instrument of knowledge of the sector. The Register is of an administrative nature, public and free of charge, and can be accessed by any person or public or private entity, with no limitations other than those established in legislation on the protection of personal data. However, at present, information on the registration data of Andalusian tourist establishments is not easily provided to any citizen (only by e-mail or written request with a registered entry). The RTA, today, is basically focused on tour operators who have to register to be able to provide tourist services in Andalusia. Therefore, a fundamental improvement will be to implement improved access to registration data to citizens through web queries, open data and automated administrative acts. These improvements are planned to be implemented through the OpenRTA project.
