Abstract: The following work deals with the conceptual metaphor in political discourse, specifically in the language used by political forces of diverse ideologies when referring to the so-called "process" in Catalonia. On the one hand we will see if the different ideological proposals maintain stable and regular metaphorical conceptualizations about the "process", and on the other hand we will analyse the place that emotions occupy in metaphorical choice, and how we can relate them to the different ideologies that they hold political discourse.
