Title: Dificultats d'ensenyament-aprenentatge de la genètica a l'educació secundària

Abstract: This article analyzes a collection of scientific literature on interpsychological causes that prevent the achievement of genetics knowledge in high school level. Initially, the importance of successfully learning both ethical, political and moral issues related to advances in genetic engineering is justified and a review is made of which are, according to different studies, genetic concepts that cause greater learning difficulties. More than twenty articles have been selected for the writing of this literature review, written in different languages and from different countries and being the vast majority of them written in the last decade and coming from prestigious journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports and/ or Scopus (Scimago Journal Rank). The results show that, regardless of the educational system and the age of the students, the causes of the interpsychological difficulties of teaching and learning genetics are repeated all over the world and are a consequence of the educational curriculum, the very nature of the subject, students' prior knowledge, style and teaching methods chosen by the teacher responsible for imparting the knowledge and motivation of the agents involved in the process. In conclusion, although it cannot be determined that the main cause of the misunderstanding of genetics is the consequence of the decisions made by the teacher, it is the one that presents the weakest flanks, so that teachers need to be strengthened with information and training on new teaching methodologies.
