Title: El aseguramineto de la calidad en las enseñanzas superiores duales en Europa

Abstract: Development and quality assurance is a continuous problem in vocational education and training. Responding to the challenges of changing and volatile societies is a challenge that is already being addressed and to which university dual training programmes can contribute. Dual training allows the acquisition of formal knowledge while gaining solid professional experience and practical knowledge that brings benefits not only to the two training environments but also to the socio-productive environment of each country. It takes traditional education to another dimension in which the relationship between universities and companies is maximised and strengthens the link between the training offer and the needs of the economic fabric, which significantly improves the professional integration of students. This project seeks to expose the current reality of quality assurance systems for dual training in Spain and to establish the lines of action for higher education institutions and collaborating companies in order to guarantee the quality of their academic offer, taking as a reference the dual systems implemented in France and Germany. It also identifies the critical aspects and those for which improvement actions should be undertaken in terms of quality assurance in dual vocational training. In Spain, the lack of a normative regulation for dual learning activities at university level means a slowdown in the development of the whole dual training system in the national context. Consequently, the development of a legal framework to support dual learning contracts is a priority to be addressed by the competent bodies.
