Abstract: Lifelong learning (LLL) is a key element within the strategic objectives of universities, which offer training programs beyond the official ones. Universities have training courses that develop competencies with a clear professional orientation. Although quality assurance systems are fully consolidated in conventional higher education programs, they are lacking in Lifelong Learning courses. The flexibility in the design and organization of these programs justifies the definition of new specific quality procedures and the identification of suitable indicators. This project analyzes the structure and organization of LLL courses in public universities in Spain, focusing on the framework established for the evaluation and management of quality. From this analysis, the processes and procedures that must be developed have been identified; a methodology is proposed to develop the procedures and to define the indicators; finally, two specific procedures are proposed: the approval of the programs and the definition of the admission profile, selection and enrollment of the students.
