Author: Capellas Ruiz, Jordi

Abstract: This is a memorandum concerning a 3D video game developed for mobile devices, which constitutes the final degree project of the multimedia degree. It is an escape-room game, a subgenre of adventure games, where the player is treated in the first person and must solve a series of puzzles inside a house until the final resolution, when the player will be allowed to leave the place. The video game scenario is set up in a secluded farmhouse within a forest, where the spirit of a musician was kidnapped by a muse in love with his music, and who wants to retain him forever. The musician can be released if the player manages to solve all the riddles that will find in the many stances of the farmhouse. The software used to develop the game was Unity as the game engine, Blender for 3D modeling of assets, Gimp for image editing, Inskape for icon design, and Audacity for audio editing. The music was recorded directly from a synthesizer. Making this video game has meant an immense and very satisfying learning adventure. It has been designed almost entirely by the author, both the assets, the programming, and the music. The final product is a prototype that can be improved and expanded into a more complete video game that may be of interest to people looking for entertainment and challenges to their ability.
