Abstract: One of the main problems that arise in order to use the biggest source of clean energy that we have, The Sun, is the storage of not consumed energy. Conventional photovoltaic systems use lead acid batteries in its various variants, VRLA, AGM, and GEL. Energy storage systems based on lithium have been evolving and improving and some variants have emerged adapted to specific uses, in this way it was developed the lithium ferrostat accumulator LiFePO4, a lithium battery with a lithium iron phosphate cathode. These types of batteries are much more efficient, but require a more sophisticated controller, and it is here when the battery management system BMS appears, these are devices that can properly manage all the parameters of those batteries, and this is the main goal of this TFM.
