Title: | El Rellano |
Author: | Relancio Roldán, Teresa |
Tutor: | Ginés Bataller, Laura |
Abstract: | The project presented below is based on the desire to prevent loneliness in today's Spanish society, especially among the elderly, a problem with serious consequences for physical and mental health. Once this specific need has been defined, the way to recover the values of community and neighborhood self-management was proposed, both of great relevance from the social point of view according to the research carried out. Different methodologies, belonging to the interaction design, were applied to try to understand the physical, cognitive and cultural peculiarities of future users, and in this way satisfy their needs. As a result, the requirements on which to base the artifact were obtained. Thanks to all this work, a mobile application was designed, named as El Rellano, a network for intergenerational encounters and relationships based on closeness and trust between neighbours. Finally, it is worth mentioning that El Rellano is a dynamic entity that will have to adapt to the changes and needs that might eventually arise. |
