Abstract: Case study of a 58 years old real patient diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme in August 2020. This tumor is the most frequent malignant neoplasm in the world, with rapid and aggressive infiltrative growth. The progression of cognitive affectation is parallel to the tumor extension. It presents a poor prognosis with low survival rates. A pre-surgical evaluation was performed, which evidenced a predominance of executive dysfunction, attentional dysfunction, processing speed, visual memory, long-term verbal memory and visuoperceptive and visuoconstructive deficits, together with significant anxious-depressive and apathetic symptomatology. In the post-surgical evaluation, despite the persistence of the alteration, a slight generalised improvement in cognitive functioning and a decrease in anxious-depressive symptomatology was observed, due to the decrease of intracranial pressure and previous neuropsychological rehabilitation. A follow-up evaluation, two months after operation, showed a worsening and diffuse cognitive dysfunction, with an increase in neuropsychiatric symptoms. The neuropsychological intervention proposed consists of 3 weekly sessions of 60 minutes over 5 months, started at the diagnosis. The main objective is to improve and keep the patient's quality of life throughout the disease process, up to the final stage of life. It combines computer-based activities with virtual reality techniques, involving cognitive and emotional aspects, including compensatory strategies and psychoeducation. Transversally, 1 weekly family session of 60 minutes is carried out, including psychoeducation and emotional accompaniment. Expanded to 2 weekly sessions when the patient worsens, including bereavement preparation sessions.
