Abstract: The purpose of the current document is to stablish what kind of use and disuse women from the neighbourhoods of Sant Adrià Nord and Sant Joan Baptista, from Sant Adrià del Besòs city, make of the public space, in addition to their reasons and how these are related to its urban layout. This decision is motivated to prove how necessary is to apply gender perspective to urbanism, in order to achieve cities that are actually equitable to all its citizens. For that, the author has studied several referents in this topic, as well as conducting a survey for women from both neighbourhoods, which has allowed to identify all the women's profiles that live there, their use and disuse of public space habits and their reasons, in addition to their degree of knowledge regarding feminist urbanism. Furthermore, it has also been drafted a mapping of the places that women avoid and regularly use, as well as their motivations, which has allowed to exemplify the faults and inequalities that the current model has.
