Author: Fernández Cabeza, Manuel Ángel
Tutor: Gómez-Franco, Irene
Abstract: This project is a research carried out within the sociopolitical framework defined by the contemporary philosophical challenges. More precisely, this research approaches the management of education by the Government of Spain throughout this century. The main purpose is to assess the presence and the degree of ethics in these managerial aspects, according to Immanuel Kant's point of view. In order to do this, apart from analysing the political management of education by reviewing the current papers regarding this subject, Kant's ethics has been studied, by going further in concepts such as moral, common benefit or education, among many others. This way, have been subsequently developed a deliberate process to understand, according to a series of ethical and Kantian principles, some of the most relevant political actions regarding education. On the whole, it could be said that the conclusion reached after the aforementioned process has been supported by the initial hypothesis: the lack of ethics, from its Kantian conception, within the recent education management by the Spanish government.
