Abstract: In recent years, the concept of "smart city" has been developed, due to the great advancement of electronics, and which has offer to user a city model based on sustainability, safety and comfort, thanks to the possibility of interaction with different systems (mobility, health, meteorology ...), through the use of complex networks of sensors and actuators spread throughout the city. The challenge due to the impossibility of feeding sensor networks by cable has been solved thanks to the development of autonomy systems (batteries), and recharging systems. In this context, Master's Final Project proceed to the development of a temperature and humidity monitoring system with automated sending of alarms via radio with GPRS interface, which allows its operation autonomously thanks to the use of batteries and a recharging system. In order to meet the different proposed objectives, firstly, the current state of different areas of the project's technological field has been analyzed. Once the knowledge of the environment surrounding the work to be developed has been obtained, the second step it´s a studying, programming and testing different components that are part of the prototype. Finally, the project incorporates suitably justified improvements on the prototype and that are added to the final design; as well as an analysis of compliance with the different objectives established at the beginning of the project and future lines of work.
