Abstract: Dementias are one of the most prevalent neurodegenerative diseases in our environment. This type of pathology requires care that is currently provided by informal care networks, falling mainly on women. Due to its degenerative nature, this care will last between 4 and 20 years, involving greater efforts as the disease progresses. The aim of this study is to make a proposal for the design of a digital intervention to reduce the effects of caring for people with dementia suffered by their caregivers. This intervention will focus on responding to those aspects that generate greater concern in caregivers of people with dementia, as well as providing support tools to help reduce the physical and emotional overload arising from this situation. To achieve this, an analysis of the current situation has been made through a literature search to show what interventions have been proposed so far and the results obtained. In addition, the aspects that caregivers perceive as most relevant will be analyzed. With this information, the digital intervention proposal will be elaborated, as well as its evaluation. In conclusion, the quality of life of caregivers of people with dementia will improve with the implementation of the proposed digital solution, by working on aspects of the disease and care that are not usually taken into account in the health care offered.
