Abstract: This is a work about the creation of a brand and its associated website. World Music Rankings is a subscription-funded space meant to promote music by artists from all over the world. Its primary element will be a weekly chart of highlighted songs, curated by the site¿s own staff, but always paying attention to readers¿ reactions and suggestions. Our ultimate goal is to be able to look beyond where the main media are already searching to stand out from that crowd. Before being able to do all of that, however, it is necessary to define the graphic parameters on which WMR¿s brand identity will be built, along with its possible additional brands, and to study which audience we want to attract to this project and how to reach it. And so, during this semester, we have taken care of this vital first part of the process in order to ensure the project is ready for its eventual launch.
