Abstract: In this Master's Final Project, we intend to discover the potential that Matlab offers as a design and simulation tool for the antennas that it offers in its library and for adaptation networks. To do this, two antennas included in the Matlab library, the InvertedLcoplanar and the InvertedFcoplanar, have been designed and simulated. In addition, some parameters of the antennas have been modified to see how it affects their behavior, specifically, how it affects bandwidth. And, after optimizing the two antennas, the Matching Network Designer application has been used to design matching networks to improve the bandwidth of the previous antennas. The main conclusion is that Matlab offers a wide range of possibilities and has great potential for this type of simulation, since it is also a software that is used in academic settings, so any user has access to it, and does not require highly complex to use. In addition, we have seen that through the use of adaptation networks, the bandwidth of the designed antennas can be improved.
