Feelocal: Diseño UX/UI de una app para fomentar la autenticidad de las experiencias turísticas

Abstract

El auge del turismo en las últimas décadas ha facilitado que millones de personas puedan hacer viajes asiduamente. Pero, en algunos casos, este rápido desarrollo no se ha gestionado correctamente, dando paso al sobreturismo, un modelo poco sostenible que tiene un impacto negativo en los destinos y sus habitantes. Ante esta situación, la gente no quiere sentirse parte de una masa cuando viaja, y actualmente nos encontramos ante una búsqueda de experiencias turísticas más locales, auténticas y diferentes. Internet y las apps móviles son los principales recursos consultados para organizar un viaje, pero normalmente remiten a los mismos puntos de interés, contribuyendo a su masificación. Para encontrar consejos realmente locales se tienen que hacer extensas búsquedas, que no siempre son fáciles de realizar, especialmente en el mundo ajetreado en el que vivimos. En este contexto se crea Feelocal, una aplicación móvil que surge de un proceso iterativo centrado en las personas usuarias, en el que se han seguido las fases del design thinking para ofrecer la posibilidad de conseguir experiencias turísticas más auténticas. Así, se ha obtenido un producto que asiste en la organización de viajes de manera más amena, local y sostenible; incluyendo puntos de interés populares, pero también sugiriendo lugares frecuentados por habitantes locales. Además, está app acerca la cultura del destino, destacando eventos, informando sobre las costumbres del país, y acompañando a las personas usuarias durante su viaje para ayudarles a vivir una experiencia realmente local.

In recent decades there has been a boom in the tourism industry that has made it easier for millions of people to travel regularly. But, in some cases, this rapid development has not been properly managed, giving way to overtourism, an unsustainable model that has a negative impact on destinations and their inhabitants. Faced with this situation, people do not want to feel part of a mass when they travel, and new alternatives are emerging, like the search for more local and authentic tourist experiences. The Internet and mobile apps are the main resources used to organize a trip, but they usually refer to the same points of interest, contributing to their overcrowding. Finding truly local tips requires extensive searching, which is not always easy to do, especially in the busy world we live in. In this context, Feelocal is created, a mobile application that arises from an iterative process focused on the users, in which the design thinking phases have been followed to achieve more authentic tourist experiences. This platform assists in organizing trips in a more pleasant, local and sustainable way; including popular points of interest, but also suggesting places frequented by locals. In addition, this app brings the culture of the destination closer to travelers, highlighting events, informing about the country's customs and way of living, and accompanying users during their trip to help them live a truly local experience.

L'auge del turisme en les darreres dècades ha facilitat que milions de persones puguin fer viatges assíduament. Però, en alguns casos, aquest ràpid desenvolupament no s'ha gestionat correctament, donant pas al sobreturisme, un model poc sostenible que té un impacte negatiu a les destinacions i els seus habitants. Davant d'aquesta situació, la gent no vol sentir-se part d'una massa quan viatja, i actualment ens trobem davant d'una recerca d'experiències turístiques més locals, autèntiques i diferents. Internet i les aplicacions mòbils són els principals recursos consultats per organitzar un viatge, però normalment remeten als mateixos punts d'interès, contribuint a la seva massificació. Per trobar consells realment locals s'han de fer extenses cerques, que no sempre són fàcils de realitzar, especialment en el món atrafegat on vivim. En aquest context es crea Feelocal, una aplicació mòbil que sorgeix d'un procés iteratiu centrat en les persones usuàries, on s'han seguit les fases del design thinking per oferir la possibilitat d'aconseguir experiències turístiques més autèntiques. Així, s'ha obtingut un producte que assisteix a l'organització de viatges de manera més amena, local i sostenible; incloent punts d'interès populars, però també suggerint llocs freqüentats per habitants locals. A més, aquesta app apropa la cultura del destí, destacant esdeveniments, informant sobre els costums del país, i acompanyant les persones usuàries durant el viatge per ajudar-les a viure una experiència realment local.
