Abstract: A fictitious case of a 27-year-old male patient who suffered a mild TBI, without structural lesions detected by neuroimaging, is exposed. Presents cognitive, emotional, and behavioral alterations three months after the accident. Description of the pathology. Mild TBI is a type of traumatic brain injury (TBI) characterized by a loss of consciousness of less than 20 minutes, post-traumatic amnesia (PTA) of less than one hour and a score on the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) between 14-15 points. They are not usually seen without structural or neurological lesions. It can cause nausea, headaches, memory disturbances and concentration difficulties that usually resolve in the first three months. Some patients show alterations that persist. This has been called post-concussion syndrome. Evaluation results: Altered performance is observed in attention, memory (encoding, recall), processing speed and executive functions. They accompany interrupted insomnia, fatigue and emotional disturbances (pseudodepressive syndrome). The goal of the intervention is to restore damaged functions, compensate for lost functions, and reduce emotional symptoms to improve the patient's cognitive performance and functional capacity. Description of the intervention: The intervention is carried out intensively, comprehensively and hierarchically in 23 sessions (2 per week) for three months. It begins with low-level processes (processing speed and attention) and continues with high-level ones (attentional control, memory, and executive functions). It includes cognitive stimulation, compensatory strategies, psychoeducational sessions and training in the use of external aids.
