|This work explores the introduction of Information and Communication Technologies or ICT in education, to identify the effects of their introduction on the teaching-learning process, with which learning methodologies their introduction is more effective and the role of the instructor in such a process. Considering the conclusions drawn from this review, and from a study of the most widely used digital tools in the educational field, it is proposed an educational intervention for Vocational Training, in particular for the module “Wine and its Service” in the Middle Training Cycle in Hospitality and Tourism. The work, therefore, combines the perspective of research with that of professionalization. The selection of topic, objectives and context responds to various factors, including the importance attached to Vocational Training in the digital transformation of society, the scarcity of empirical studies on the application of ICT in this educational level, the suitability of active learning methodologies supported by ICT to encourage student motivation and maximize the acquisition of key skills in the world of work, and the importance of Hospitality and Tourism in the Spanish economy. The results of the study carried out are intended to contribute to a better understanding of the digitalization process of Vocational Training in Spain and, derived from this, of the needs to be covered by technology companies.
